Kyiv police have not recorded public order offenses related to the conduct of official celebrations of the Independence Day, the Interior Ministry press service reports.
Nearly 2.500 law enforcement officers protect public order and safety of Kyiv residents and guests during the events.
"Kyiv police have secured the protection of public order. The official public events to mark the 22th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence Day in the city center have passes with no violations of public order," the statement says.
It is noted that representatives of some political parties and public organizations held several events dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine in the capital.
The celebrations in the capital continue with various cultural programs, the celebration will end with a concert and fireworks on the Independence Square.
