National Bank of Ukraine has presented a commemorative coin "Liberation of Kharkiv from fascists", head of the department for numismatic production and marketing Tamara Loshmanova said, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We always remember about the victory in the Great Patriotic War. On August 23 Kharkiv will celebrate the 70th anniversary of liberation from fascists, and on this occasion NBU has issued a commemorative coin," she said.
The coin is issued in silver, numbering three thousand copies, and nickel silver - 20 thousand copies. The official noted that the coin is made in a modest style and resembles a medal. The head side of the coin pictures monument to Soldier-Liberator, and the tail side - a composition of a star and ribbon with commemorative inscription "70 years".
Face value of nickel silver coin - 5 hryvnias, of silver coin - 10 hryvnias.
