Providing maximum safety at mines must be the priority not only for the state, but also for the heads of mining enterprises, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych says, presidential press office reports.
“Our task is to ensure maximum safety for miners. It is the main and top-priority goal of any technological modernization,” the President said.
Moreover, the President notes that stable and efficient work of miners is a guaranty of energy security of our country, guaranty of development of mining cities and the ground of welfare of millions of families.
Yanukovych emphasizes that having energy reserves become an important competitive advantage in the world where everyone fight for resources, "and our coal is definitely a strategic resource of the country."
