The infant impairments of sight, hearing and posture have decreased, due to timely informing parents of the results of the medical examination of schoolchildren, head of the Office of motherhood, childhood and resorts of the Health Ministry of Ukraine Olena Tereshchenko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reported.

"Examinations are conducted, among other things, to inform of diagnosis and to give parents the necessary recommendations on the results of the medical examination of children. We already have some achievements. In the past two years, the incidence of school-related impairments of sight, hearing and posture decreased," she said.

According to Tereshchenko, children are more susceptible to diseases of the respiratory, digestive, endocrine and nervous systems.
