In October Ukraine expects to sign an agreement on supplies of natural gas from Romania, minister of energy and coal industry Eduard Stavitski told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports. He reminded that already now gas from Europe to Ukraine comes through two routes: from Poland and from Hungary.
"From August 15 of this year Hungary increased the volume of gas supplies at least twice, and technical capabilities allow to increase even by three times. I count on our partners in Hungary to get the license for increased supplies through this route, and starting from September we will receive about 15 million cu m of gas daily," the minister said.
According to Stavitski, Ukraine plants on using the reverse scheme to supply up to 2.5 billion cu m of gas from Europe.
