Due to violations of amusement parks' rules of operation more than 30 rides of 10 different owners were shut in Yalta," press office of the city council reports.
"In the course of control of about 70 units of rides' equipment, more than 130 violations have been revealed. Due to the fact that owners refused to lay up the rides and fix the problems, about 30 rides have been dismounted and taken out," city mayor Serhiy Ilash said in a statement.
According to him, the latest sessions of the city council were dedicated to the security of city population, and the council members have developed strict measures to control the security provision on the amusement rides.
"The executive committee of the city council have submitted files against enterprises violating the rules of operation of amusement rides. We intended to bring the cases to court. No ride will be allowed to operate with violations," Ilash assured and added every fact of injury on a ride would be carefully investigated.
