President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will pay two working visits within Ukraine on the eve of celebrations to mark the 22nd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, as head of the President’s Administration of Ukraine Serhiy Liovochkin said.

According to him, August 22 this year, the President will pay a working visit to Donetsk, where he will take part in the festivities dedicated to the Miner’s Day.

According to Liovochkin, August 23, the President will attend the ceremony of raising the national flag in Kyiv. On the same day the President will pay working visit to Kharkiv, to attend celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of liberation of the city from the Nazi invaders.

August 24, on the Independence Day, Viktor Yanukovych will traditionally lay flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko and Mykhailo Grushevskyi, and will take part in the celebrations for Independence Day at St. Vladimir's Hill in Kyiv.
