Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov calls the Customs Union to the fair trade under the rules of the WTO and the CIS free trade area.

"The Customs Union and its new rules are such a reality. There will be no preferential regimes, and we do not require them. We call partners to fair use of trade rules on the basis of the existing provisions of the WTO and the Agreement on FTA within the CIS," Azarov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

The Prime Minister also noted that Ukraine "should draw conclusions from the poor interaction between the customs authorities of neighboring states, which have a high trade turnover".
Azarov also instructed to intensify work on Ukraine's rapprochement with the Customs Union member states in the field of technical regulations and agreements governing the customs procedures.

The PM stressed that he gave relevant instructions to the Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the Incomes and Fees Ministry of Ukraine.

Commenting on the complications in customs clearance of Ukrainian goods on Russian customs, he stressed that this is not a trade war and not the reaction of the Russian Federation to the European aspirations of Ukraine.
