26 thousand children will go in the first grades this school year in Kyiv, which is 6% more than in 2012.
This was reported by head of the education department of the Kyiv City State Administration Oksana Dobrovolska said at the joint session of Kyiv City State Administration and the Committee on Economic Reforms.
She assured that all of the capital's educational institutions, without exception, will be ready for the start of the school year.
According to her, pre-school education system of Kyiv includes 702 educational institutions, of which 603 institutions operate as directed.
According to reports, they are visited by 100.3 thousand children.
