Citizens of Ukraine have not addressed the embassy due to emergency situation in Egypt, director of information policy department of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis told a briefing.
According to him, the Ukrainian Embassy in Egypt provides monitoring of the security situation. In case of aggravation, leading to a threat to life and health of citizens of Ukraine, measures will be taken to carry out the evacuation.
"According to the Ukrainian Embassy in Egypt, situation in the resort towns of this country (Sharm el-Sheikh, Ruwanweli, Hurghada) remains calm. There is no information of holding mass protests in these cities which would endanger the safety of foreign tourists," Perebyinis said.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Egypt's major airports are operating normally, there are no disruptions in air communication.
