For the first half of 2013 the volumes of residential construction in Ukraine have grown by 6.6%, minister for regional development, construction and housing and public utilities Gennady Temnyk told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Thanks to deregulation and simplification of processes, we have obtained positive dynamics in construction sector, and for the first half of 2013 the development index of residential construction has grown by about 6.6%," the minister pointed out.

Moreover, according to him, there is a possibility to finish uncompleted construction projects, stimulating the development of the construction sector through crediting. 

"We give active citizens a possibility to purchase own housing," the minister added.

Temnyk underlined that the program on affordable housing is constantly monitored by the government. In turn, the Ministry for Regional Development monitor the financial situation in every region. "We support actively developing regions and increase financing," he summed up.
