Hot weather will be kept throughout almost the entire territory of Ukraine this week, deputy director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Anatoly Prokopenko told a briefing.
According to him, during the week the weather conditions in Ukraine will be determined by area of high pressure. Precipitation is not expected in the most of territory.
"Hot weather will prevail in the coming days. Only in the western regions there will be short rains with thunderstorms, wind squalls up to 15-20 m / s. There it will be cooler than at the rest territory of Ukraine," Prokopenko said.
According to him, August 20-24, the air temperature in the west will be +24... +30 °; August 21-22 - +19 ... +24 °, at the rest of the territory - +27... +33 °. In the south, these days, the temperature will rise to +35 °.
Prokopenko also informed that during August 25-29, precipitations are not expected in Crimea, Azov area, Dnipropetrovsk and eastern regions. In the rest of the territory there will be unstable weather patterns. Air temperature will be +26 ... +32 ° C. August 25-26, in the southern regions, the temperature will rise to 30 ... +35 ° C.
