Within the framework of national efforts to increase the level of financial literacy, coordinated by the National Bank of Ukraine, an interactive lesson on "Planning a family budget" was held in the children's camp "Svitanok" in Kyiv region, ForUm correspondent reports.

This action is supported on the state level. The population of Ukraine from teenagers to the elderly people, who have good financial knowledge, may successfully carry out various financial operations, manage their own resources and know about the benefits of savings," deputy chief of the NBU department in Kyiv and Kyiv region Petro Ivanets said.

26 children aged 12-15 years listened to today's lecture. During the lesson, teenagers learned about theory. In addition, in the form of a game, divided into teams, they tried to plan the family budget.

According to the NBU, during July, more than one thousand Ukrainian schoolchildren took part in interactive sessions on financial literacy.
