President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to form an organizing committee for the preparation and implementation of the activities in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Holodomor.
In particular, on November 23 - the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Holodomor, mourning ceremonies are to be held in Kyiv, in particular at the National Museum "Memorial to the victims of famines in Ukraine", as well as in other cities of Ukraine with the participation of representatives of the state government, local government and the public.
The Foreign Ministry is instructed to conduct activities relating to the 80th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine in foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine in 2013, to take measures to organize thematic exhibitions on the premises of parliaments, government agencies, foreign governments and international organizations.
The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting is instructed to promote wide coverage of events to be held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Holodomor in the state media.
