
Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev said that the trade war between the two countries is fundamentally impossible. This opinion they expressed during telephone conversation on August 18, the press service of the Ukrainian government repots.
According to the prime ministers, complications in the trade relations between Ukraine and Russia are not related to the integration process between the two countries.
In addition, the parties discussed the current state of trade and economic relations between the two countries, as well as complications developed in recent years in the customs clearance of certain types of cargo shipped from Ukraine to Russia.
The parties believe that the issues will be quickly resolved in the interests of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
Azarov and Medvedev agreed that heads of customs services of Ukraine and Russia will meet on Monday and will address the issue of customs procedures to promote mutual trade.
