
January-July 2013, Ukraine imported gas for a total of 5.476 billion dollars, the Incomes and Fees Ministry of Ukraine informs.
According to the report, gas imports from Russia for seven months in 2013 in monetary terms amounted to 5.207 billion dollars, from Germany - 0.206 billion dollars, from Hungary - 0.063 billion
Natural gas imports in value terms for July 2013 amounted to 0.396 billion dollars.
This year, gas supplies from the Russian gas monopoly "Gazprom" will amount to 18 billion cubic meters, from the Ostchem company, controlled by Ukrainian businessman Dmytro Firtash - 8 billion cubic meters, from the German gas trader RWE Supply & Trading – 1.3 billion cubic meters.
Ukraine began to buy gas from the European Union in November 2012.
Last year, Ukraine consumed nearly 49 billion cubic meters of gas, 33 billion of which bought from Russia.
