The Supreme Court of Switzerland again suspended the ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne on the involvement of FC "Metalist"in a match-fixing, because of which the team was denied the right to play in the European Cup in 2013/14 season.
According to the official site of the FC "Metalist", this time, the judgment provides for suspension referring to the FC "Metalist" and the team's sporting director Yevhen Krasnikov. Thus, the CAS conclusion about the involvement of "Metalist" in a match-fixing will be completely revised, regarding the role of Krasnikov as well. The Court’s verdict was directly sent to CAS.
As first vice-president of the club Kostyantyn Pyvovarov said, FC "Metalist" for the second time appeals to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne with a petition to suspend the decision of the UEFA and to admit "Metalist" to the Champions League.
