August 16, during telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych expressed concern about the processes taking place during the customs clearance of goods crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border. Yanukovych and Putin also discussed the bilateral agenda, including the issue of holding Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission chaired by the presidents.
