The state budget of Ukraine lacks money to fully fund the purchase of vaccines for planned immunization, deputy health minister Oleksandr Tolstanov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We can not buy all the necessary vaccine for budgetary funds," he said.

Tolstanov noted that 465.9 million UAH are needed for purchase of immunological drugs.

"Budget funding in 2012 amounted to 302.1 million UAH, ie 72.9% of the actual need for 414.4 million UAH. In 2013 the percentage is even lower - 65%," he said.

Thus, the official said, the amount of public funding in the current year has remained at the level of 2012, and the need for vaccines has increased significantly.
