Rules of movement of goods across the border have been changed since August 14, spokeswoman of the Belgorod Customs of the Russian Federation Elena Shlyahova informed.
"Now the carrier at the entrance checkpoint to the customs territory of the Customs Union is required in addition to the TIR Carnet to show payment of customs duties," Shlyahova explained.
Chief State Inspector of Customs Public Relations of Voronezh Customs Elena Razinkova reported that according to the directive, the customs had to go to 100 percent screening of cargo. She noted that there is no queuing at the posts, and the entire inspector staff is involved in the inspection to speed up the procedures.
