Due to another aggravation of the situation in Egypt, holding protests and riots, as well as the state of emergency, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry warns Ukrainian citizens in Egypt of the danger and recommends refraining from travelling to this country unless it is absolutely necessary. It is reported by the information policy department of the Foreign Ministry.
"In particular, citizens of Ukraine who are in Cairo, should avoid visiting the main square Tahrir and the adjacent area of the Garden City, the area around the Presidential Palace (near Heliopolis) mosque Rabia Al-Adawi (District Nasr City), the district of Giza. It is necessary to significantly restrict the movement through a capital and other settlements, and yet refrain from automobile travel," the Ministry notes.
Ukrainian citizens who are now resting in the resort towns on the Red Sea coast (Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh), are recommended to spend vacation in the hotel complexes and not to travel outside.
All citizens staying in Egypt should refrain from visiting places where people gather, refrain from unauthorized photos and videos, refrain from participating in the protests, demonstrations and other activities aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country. It is not recommended to enter into disputes with local communities on issues related to the political situation in Egypt.
In case of emergency, Ukrainian citizens urgently need to contact the Embassy of Ukraine in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
