Medical support in schools checked

The Health Ministry of Ukraine will check the readiness of schools under health standards and medical support for the new academic year, deputy health minister Oleksandr Tolstanov told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The government instructed our Ministry and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service to prepare institutions under health standards and medical support. Inspections are still ongoing, and we have to work together (with SES - Ed.), to complete inspections in time," he said.

Thus, the deputy minister said that more than 30 thousand schools are planned to be inspected.

First of all, according to Tolstanov, presence of appropriate medical rooms, medicines and staff in kindergartens, schools and vocational schools is checked.

"In addition, the Ministry plans to carry out medical and pedagogical control over Physical Education subject," he concluded.
