Exports of Ukrainian meat products to China will begin in 2014, agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk told a briefing in the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, the Ministry has started the process of certification and obtaining permits for the supply of meat products to the Chinese market.

"According to preliminary estimates, the export of meat to China will begin in 2014. This is a significant step in the agrarian sector of Ukraine, as China is a huge market and millions of consumers," minister stressed.

Furthermore, certification of wheat, barley and soybeans for export to China will end next week. "We are planning to export not only meat products, but also grain crops," Prysiazhniuk summed up.
