By 2022, number of people employed in the tourism sector of Ukraine is to increase by two and a half times to reach 1 million people, president of the Association of Tourism Business Leaders of Ukraine Oleksandr Novikovsky said in interview with BTB TV channel.
Such a number of jobs will appear in the case of implementation of the State program of tourism development until 2022, preparing by a State Service for Tourism and Resorts.
According to him, each region according to the program will have its own specific development. Thus, Crimea, which annually receives six million visitors, expects diversification of services - mountain tourism will be developed in addition to rest at sea. The Western Ukraine and eastern industrial areas will have their own programs.
In addition, the program will include advertizing tourist regions and tourist safety in Ukraine.
