High rates of fire danger in the coming week will be observed in the eastern regions of Ukraine, as well as in the center and south of the country, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, the current heat in Ukraine cannot but results in an increase in fires in the country.
"However, situation is under control so far, despite the fact that fire danger indices increased significantly in the central regions, the south and east," the director of the Hydrometeorological Center said.
As for western Ukraine, Kulbida noted, recent rains here reduced the risk of fires.
"In Lviv, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region, the temperature will drop to 27 C. So here we are not talking about the fire danger," he concluded.
