An An-12 aircraft caught fire at the Leipzig/Halle Airport in the early hours of Friday, aero.de reported.
The web site said the fire broke out after 0200 local time on Friday. The fire started in the middle of the aircraft, and despite the fact that about 60 people and 15 fire engines were involved in its extinguishing, the aircraft was completely burnt out. No one was hurt in the fire, Interfax-Ukraine informed.
The airport was partially closed due to the incident for about an hour. The situation was normalized around 0300 on Friday.
