Ukrainian fisherman Oleksandr Fedorovych, after surviving a collision with a motorboat of the Coast Guard Border Service of Russia in the Azov Sea on July 17, was charged by Russian law enforcement agencies.

Charge was brought under Part 3 of the Article 256 of the Russian Criminal Code (illegal extraction of aquatic biological resources). Fedorovych may face up to two years in prison.

"According to the lawyer, Fedorovych started to get acquainted with the case materials at the apartment he hires in Eysk (RF)," ICTV Channel says.

It is still unknown when the first hearing of the court will be.
