Prime Minister Mykola Azarov insists to deal with the quality of biologically active additives (BAA), presented on the Ukrainian market, he said, opening a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"One more issue, which we will discuss today, is that the population of Ukraine has been fed with all sorts of biologically active additives for many years. Some unscrupulous sellers propose them as medications, and them a man looses his time, money and health," he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that today the government will consider a proposal of the Health Ministry to introduce a system of monitoring and evaluation of these products for effectiveness and efficiency. "People need to know what they are offered as medicines," he said.
