In 2013, Ukraine pharmacies have begun to sell legally morphine tablets, head of the department for drugs and medical products of the Health Ministry Liudmyla Konoshevych told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to her, it was done by order of the Health Ministry, while morphine was previously available for patients only as injections.
The doctor continued that morphine tablets were produced in Odesa. "Morphine will be assigned as a powerful anesthetic. This is a narcotic drug, so according to the law, it will be controlled as all similar drugs," she noted.
