Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov congratulated the hearing impaired athletes on a successful performance at the XXII Summer Deaflympics, held in Sofia (Bulgaria) on July 25 - August 4, 2013.
«XXII Summer Deaflympics in Sofia were the most successful in the history of participation of Ukrainian athletes in Deaflympics, as Ukrainian athletes won a record number of medals. A huge effort, strength of spirit, an overwhelming desire to reach the heights in spite of all the difficulties of fate stands behind each of the medals. With your athletic achievements, you have once again confirmed the ability of Ukrainians to win in spite of all difficulties and obstacles," Azarov said, the Cabinet’s press office reports.
The Prime Minister wished the athletes and their coaches good health, successes, the will to win and new sports achievements.
"The National Deaflympics Team of Ukraine, consisting of 191 athletes, decently represented Ukraine at the XXII Summer Deaflympics and showed high results, meeting a competition with the leaders of the Deaflympics movement," the head of the government added.
