The draft law on prosecutor's office will be sent for examination to the Venice Commission (VC) on Friday, August 2, adviser to the President Andriy Portnov, who oversees the development of the law on the prosecutor's office in the Administration of the President, said in interview.

"On Friday, August 2, we send it to the Venice Commission to get an estimate of experts of the VC and the Council of Europe. We expect that the VC will make its conclusion in September. We expect constructive suggestions and comments of European experts on the basis of which the document will be corrected. We’ll need another week for that, after which the bill gets to the Parliament, the President will be the subject of legislative initiative," Portnov added.

He also noted that if the Parliament passes the bill in the beginning of October in the first reading, it will have to be passed as the whole in the end of October to sign it in November.
