Administrative responsibility for drivers, who do not pay for parking or park on the places intended for the transport of disabled persons, is to be introduced in Ukraine, regional development, construction, housing and communal services minister of Ukraine Hennady Temnyk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading a government bill, developed by the Regional Development Ministry, on amendments to some legislative acts of the parking rules and on establishing responsibility for violations of these rules. This bill defines the grounds and procedure for holding administratively liable officials for violations of the rules," Temnyk reminded.
According to him, the bill provides for administrative responsibility for non-payment for parking and lack of parking meters.
"Fine for non-payment of parking will be 136-234 UAH, for parking on sites for the disabled - 255-306 UAH, for violation of the functional areas - 204-550 UAH, for the lack of parking meters - 510-1700 UAH. Protocols for violations should be drawn up by the authorized representatives of the local self-government," Temnyk explained.
