This year, 646 road accidents have occurred in Ukraine because of the poor state of roads, head of the Centre for Road Safety and Automated Systems of the Internal Ministry Serhiy Budnyk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
Budnyk stressed that for the first half of 2013, 274 road accidents were recorded because of the poor condition of roads, including 68 accidents with victims, as a result of which 24 people were killed and 110 were injured.
"372 road accidents have occurred in the streets of towns during the same period, including 29 accidents with victims, as a result of which 4 people were killed and 35 were injured," he said.
