Kyiv Regional Police Investigation Department closed criminal proceedings in an accident involving a composer and music producer Konstantin Meladze, Kyiv police department spokeswoman Yulia Synchak told ForUm reporter.
Synchak added that now materials have been submitted to the Regional Prosecutor's Office to verify the legality of closing the criminal proceedings.
A spokeswoman did not comment on the reasons for and details of the closing of the proceedings, referring to the fact that while the documents are in the prosecutor's office, details of the deal are not disclosed.
"Regional police did not find crime in actions of Meladze. What's more, the examination revealed that he did everything possible to avoid a collision," she specified.
At the same time, the press service noted that the review of the legality of closing the proceedings will be carried out by the police for 20 days. After this period it will be possible to know the details of the case.
