On 22 July, 2013, the Australian party introduced a simplified procedure for registration of visas for Ukrainian citizens to enter Australia for touristic purposes, visiting relatives or friends and business (without the right to work) with a planned duration of stay up to three months, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports.
"In order to issue an appropriate visa applicants file electronic visa application form posted on the website of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship of Australian Government and send it to the specified department by e-mail. In the case of a positive decision regarding the visa applicant's request, the e-mail that is a confirmation of permission to travel to Australia is sent to the applicant. The document must be printed and presented by the applicant while crossing the state border of Australia together with his passport," the statement said.
The Foreign Ministry also noted that citizens of Ukraine can also appeal to the Australian Embassy in the Russian Federation with petitions to issue them respective visas.
