Mayor of Feodosia Oleksandr Bartenev, attempted on Saturday night, died at the hospital, the City Council secretary Oleksandr Vlasov informed.
According to him, Bartenev died despite the third operation.
Earlier, chief of the Crimean police department Mykhailo Slepanev reported that unknown person shot Barteneva from shotgun hunting rifle as he returned home. Weapon was seized at the site of the crime. The law enforcement officers found a handbag of Bartenev with documents, but without the money. That is why the basic version of the crime is assault related to robbery.
The criminal proceedings were opened.
