This year, 33.6 million UAH will be allocated for primary activities of the program to combat the hepatitis B virus (HBV), director of the department for reform and development of health care of the Health Ministry of Ukraine Mykola Khobzey told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"As of today, the work of the Health Ministry to develop a program to combat the hepatitis B and C viruses has been completed. This program was coordinated with all central and territorial executive bodies. It defines measures for the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with viral hepatitis. I do hope that next week this program will be adopted (in the Cabinet), and it will get its registration number," he said.
According to Khobzey, preliminary estimated cost of this program for 2013 amounts to 347 million UAH and for the period up to 2016 - 1.7 billion UAH.
