Rallies banned on Baptism of Kyiv Rus anniversary

The District Administrative Court of Kyiv limited to hold mass rallies in the capital on the occasion of the anniversary of the Baptism of Kyiv Rus, the KCSA press office informs.

The court’s decision provides for "a restriction of the right to peaceful assembly by prohibiting the conduct of activities and setting tents, stalls, sheds, including temporary and mobile, as well as the use of loudspeakers on July 20-31 in Kyiv in the Independence Square and the neighborhood".

Starting from July 26, a series of official events to mark the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyiv Rus in the capital begins, which will last until July 28.
