To eliminate negative attitude of some politicians to Hasidic pilgrims, the Rabbi Nachman's relics are to be reburied in Israel, Israeli political scientist, journalist, social activist Avigdor Eskin told in comment to ForUm correspondent.

"We experienced in the past the negative attitude of some of the residents of Uman to Hasidic pilgrims. The All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" now gains popularity in Ukraine, which stirs up hostility to the Jewish people. We do not know, who committed the crime (on the night of Saturday, July 20 criminals, armed with an ax attacked a tent city of Hasidic pilgrims, located in Uman. - Ed.) and with what intentions. We can only say that atmosphere in Ukraine is conducive to this kind of hate events due to some political forces," he said.

According to the Israeli political scientist, in this situation the most appropriate solution would be an agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Israel on the reburial of Rabbi Nachman in Israel.

As a reminder, the tomb of Rabbi Nachman in Uman is one of the most revered shrines of the Hasids, the place of the annual mass pilgrimage.
