Only 19 MPs of the Verkhovna Rada refused financial assistance, the Parliament’s press office informs.
"As of July 16, 2013, 406 MPs received financial aid. Of them, financial assistance to 36 MPs, in accordance with their written statements, was transferred to the charity fund. 19 MPs refused financial assistance," press office reports.
"According to the law of Ukraine on the status of people's deputy of Ukraine "every member of Parliament shall be granted annual paid leave with the payment of financial assistance for rehabilitation in the amount of double monthly salary," message reads.
However, the press office did not inform the amount of financial assistance and names of MPs, who rejected it.
As noted, the salary of an MP- committee member is 17 thousand 425 UAH.
"This amount includes salary - 6 thousand 109 UAH; extra charge for rank of civil servant - 160 UAH; extra charge for special nature of work and labor intensity - 100% of salary size and extra charge for the rank of civil servant, bonus - 80% of the salary," the Parliament’s press office reports, adding that size of MP’s salary hasn’t changed since September 1, 2005
