Interior minister of Ukraine Vitaly Zakharchenko wrote a report about leaving for vacation, but asked the President to continue his work during this period, he told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"I would like to explain the situation. Vacation of an interior minister involves the passage of a certain procedure, which includes a report on vacation that has to be agreed with the Cabinet of Ministers and the Presidential Administration, and then there is a corresponding decree about vacation," he said.
The minister said that his vacation was agreed and was scheduled to start on July 15. "I was at work on July 15. The next day I left for Crimea to report to the President on situation in the country. I asked him to work during this period. I was at work today too," the minister concluded.
