
Yesterday, July 17, at about 6 p.m., Ukrainian launch and a craft of the Coast Guard of the Border Guard Service of Russia clashed in the Azov Sea near the Russian village Vorontsovka, the State Border Service of Ukraine press office informs.
A fishing boat flopped over following the incident. According to preliminary information, one of the crew rescued.
"Today, about 5.30 in search and rescue activities the bodies of two sunken fishermen were found, search for two more people, who were on a launch, continues," the statement says.
The rescued man is a citizen of Ukraine, who lives in a village of Donetsk region. Russian border guards confirmed this fact. Two additional crafts of the Russian Emergencies Ministry were involved in search for the fishermen.
"The Russian party is offered to hold a special meeting in the scene to find out all the circumstances of the incident and in the future to conduct a joint investigation into the situation, in which the Ukrainian barge sank with the fishermen," the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs.
