Before the end of the year, pensions in Ukraine will increase by 149 UAH, social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
She stressed that the Ministry plans to raise soon revenues of the Pension Fund and make it completely non-deficit.
Korolevska added that as of today, the deficit of the Pension Fund amounted to 21 billion UAH. "We need to think about systematic steps to eliminate this deficit," the minister said
She stressed that the changes initiated by the Ministry in the Pension Fund will be included in the budget for 2014. She specified that at the moment, the Pension Fund incomes amount to 460 billion UAH, and but 766 billion UAH are necessary for the normal operation.
The minister also added that these changes will be carried out this year, and by the end of 2013, the pensions will increase by 149 UAH.
