Each investor must consider the Ukrainian government as a strategic partner but not as a risk factor, first vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
He stressed that a constant and direct dialogue with investors is necessary in order to enhance the investments and to improve the investment climate. "An open dialogue with the business is a very important aspect to enhance the image of Ukraine. We need to communicate more with the business community, both Ukrainian and foreign," he said.
The first deputy Prime Minister did not rule out that the issues raised by investors will be considered at the next meeting of the Cabinet, as well as at the first meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on the protection of investors and the fight against illegal acquisitions and takeovers, which is scheduled for the next week.
Arbuzov also instructed agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk to monitor the implementation process and the implementation of preferential investment projects at the expense of long-term preferential government loans.
