Despite holiday season, the government should pay serious attention to drafting of legislation, which is to be submitted to the Parliament for consideration at the autumn session, first vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

Arbuzov stressed that the President of Ukraine defined a lot of tasks.

"The last weeks of work of the Verkhovna Rada showed that we are able to find a common language with the Parliament and implement legislative initiatives," the first vice PM said.

He recalled that during the second session of the Parliament of VII convocation, MPs adopted 70 government bills, designed to create additional incentives for the development of small and medium businesses, enhance development of the social sector, improving the welfare of citizens. 120 government bills are pending Parliament’s consideration.

"Each minister should analyze shortcomings of interaction between the government and the Parliament and take them into account when drafting legislation," Arbuzov stressed.
