Ukrainian banks have no problems with liquidity, director of the department for analysis and forecasting monetary market of the general department of the monetary policy of the NBU Serhiy Korablin told a roundtable, ForUm correspondent reports.

He informed that a free resource of banks within the National Bank in average in 2011 amounted to 19 billion UAH, in 2012 - 20 billion UAH, and for six months in 2013 - 25 billion UAH.

Korablin also said that since the beginning of 2013, the NBU offered banks refinancing in the amount of 4 billion UAH, of which 3 billion UAH were taken.

According to him, none applications were submitted for some tenders. The representative of the National Bank of Ukraine noted that it is a direct confirmation that there is liquidity in the banking system but stressed that banks have risks when issuing loans, which cannot be eliminated in one day, but intense work is conducted in this direction. 

In addition, he said that as of today currency unrest in Ukraine's banking system was substantially reduced, and loan gain in local currency for 6 months was 8.2%.
