Ukraine can set record in grain exports this year

This year, Ukraine will collect a record harvest of grain crops and export a record amount of grain, head of the Ukrainian Grain Association Volodymyr Klymenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The representatives of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry say that we expect the harvest at the level of 54 million tons of grain, but I think we will be able to reach 57 million tons due to the corn harvest. And as you know, the biggest harvest we had amounted to 56.7 million tons," he said.

Klymenko reminded that Ukraine annually consumes 26 - maximum 27 million tons of grain, so the Ukrainian producers will have to export the rest of grain.
