The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych congratulated Ukrainians on the 23rd anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine, he stated in his statement to the Ukrainian people, posted on his official website.
According to the President, the adoption of the Declaration is a clear manifestation of the will of the Ukrainians to get freedom and is a decisive step towards getting of independence by our state.
"Based on the principles proclaimed in the Declaration, we are building a modernized legal and democratic country that will ensure a decent future for every citizen," Yanukovych summed up.
