A regional branch of the Italian visa center in Ukraine was opened on July 15 in Kharkiv, 68 Pushkin Street.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy in Ukraine Fabrizio Romano and MP, deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada committee on European integration Iryna Berezhna.

MP noted that the opening of the visa center will promote activity of Kharkiv tourists in Italy.

"This is an important step on the eve of the summit, which will take place in Vilnius, where we hope Ukraine will sign the Association Agreement with the EU. In this regard, support of Italy is very important for us," Berezhna said.

According to the ambassador, opening of the Italian visa centers in Ukraine is a necessity. In spring, the same branches began work in Donetsk, Lviv and Odesa. Subsequently, they will be opened in Dnipropetrovsk and Crimea.
