Deputy minister - chief of staff of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Andriy Olefirov paid a working visit to Ireland, where he met with secretary general of Foreign Ministry of Ireland David Cooney and co-chairman of the committee on foreign affairs and trade of the Irish Parliament Pat Breen and headed Ukrainian delegation in the political discussions at the level of deputy foreign ministers of Ukraine and Ireland. It is reported by the Foreign Ministry information policy department.

The sides noted the upward momentum of the Ukrainian-Irish relations, in particular the intensification of political dialogue at the highest level, a significant increase in trade turnover, the active development of inter-parliamentary relations.

The Irish party reaffirmed the continued support for the principal European aspirations of Ukraine, including the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

There were also discussed issues of international security and bilateral cooperation in the framework of international organizations. Special attention was paid to cooperation in the framework of the OSCE in view of Ukraine's presidency in the organization.
